karklu dormitoryKarklu Dormitory is more than just a building: it is a community where LCC students from around the world can sleep, eat, study, socialize, laugh, learn, and build relationships. Approximately 220 residents make their home in Karklu.philosophyThe LCC dormitory is an amazing place to live, and a great place to learn. International students from over 17 different countries live in Karklu Dormitory, giving residents many opportunities to grow in their knowledge of new cultures and traditions. Students also learn how to respect and be tolerant of others by living with up to four other people per room. Dorm residents also develop their cooking abilities and housekeeping skills by simply living together in community. Most importantly, they learn how to develop relationships that may last a lifetime.
dorm staffKarklu dormitory is staffed by two Resident Directors (RDs) who are full time LCC employees and live in staff rooms on the first floor. The RDs work with a staff of 9 Resident Assistants (RAs). The RAs are student leaders who live on each floor of Karklu and whose goal is to make Karklu a fun and healthy place for you to live! The RDs and RAs are there to answer your questions, plan exciting and educational activities for you to participate in, and to provide general assistance as you need it. The community life department works hard to hire caring, competent and energetic RDs and RAs in order to make the Karklu community the best it can be!
