housing placement process
If you would like to increase your chances of being assigned to the specific room and/or roommates you request, please keep in the mind the following:
- All roommates need to submit completed applications on time. A completed application includes proof of a paid Housing Deposit.
- No roommates should request a refund of their Housing Deposit.
- All roommates should request to live with each other.
- Sign up for the room you currently live in with three other roommates, or sign up with two other roommates and request to live with a Study Abroad student.
- Sign up for a room you know would otherwise be empty for the next semester.
housing placement details
- Students who sign up as a group of three are likely to be assigned a study abroad student
for their fourth roommate.
- Students who sign up with only one other roommate are likely to be paired with another set of returning students.
- Individuals who do not request a mutual roommate will not be given preference for a particular room.
- As much as possible, first year students will be housed together; a general request for a "first year student" in your room will not be considered. (Requests for specific first year students will be considered.)
- Every effort is made by the Housing Coordinator to place students at least three to each room. Therefore, if one or more of your assigned roommates does not need college housing, you may be expected to move or be assigned new roommates.
