our people
faculty and staffFaculty and staff come from
across North America, Western Europe and Lithuania. Our faculty and staff have
established
LCC's reputation in the Baltic region
as an institution that pursues the ideals of personal and societal transformation
in practical ways. Many come to LCC from successful academic careers in North
American institutions. Others visit as part of a sabbatical experience. Some
faculty are newly out of graduate programs and are excited to begin their academic
careers in an international setting. This diversity of backgrounds, ages and
experiences creates a rich learning environment for LCC students.
students
Most students come to LCC because they feel it is the best education in the region
to prepare them successfully for the future. Most do not come because LCC is
a Christian university, but they have the opportunity to explore faith while they
study through classroom discussions, relationships with faculty and staff, and
interaction with other students about faith issues.
While most come from Lithuania,
there are also students attending the university from Latvia, Scandinavia, Russia,
Albania, and former Soviet states such as Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and
Ukraine.
In addition, the university hosts approximately
30 Study Abroad students each semester from North American colleges and universities.
Enrollment
is around 575 students.
alumni
LCC graduates are not the leaders of tomorrow but the leaders of today. The university's
graduates receive respect not only for their intellectual achievement, but also
for their abilities as effective, servant leaders. Many move quickly into management
and leadership positions.
