employer services
Employees are the greatest assets that determine the success or failures
of a company. Honest, productive, energetic, creative and devoted employees
- this is the dream of every employer.
An LCC Bachelor's Degree prepares a student to live and make a living.
We emphasize the development of thinking and problem solving skills. Because
of LCC's rigorous academics, students develop a pattern of hard work. We also
encourage the development of a clear ethical basis for life and making a living.
A liberal arts education helps our students to develop skills in:
- oral and written communication skills through essay and report
writing, presentations, and seminars
- time management skills by having to meet deadlines
- development of logical thoughts and ideas in order to present
material
- research by searching and locating information
- problem-solving by analyzing and finding alternate solutions to
a problem

Career Fair
The goal of the Career Fair is to provide companies with an opportunity to
present themselves, to look for potential employees or interns among students,
and to
gather candidates’ resumes. For students, it is a great chance to get
to know companies, talk to their representatives, and look for possibilities
of employment.

Mock Interviews
A mock-interview is a simulation of a real-world
interview. For the company conducting the interviews, this is a good opportunity
to meet and evaluate potential employees, gather their resumes and cover letters,
promote their interest in the company and target students as potential candidates
for future job positions.
Employees
If you are looking for part-time or full-time employees,
contact the Career Development Center and we will post a job offer or search
through our contacts to make the best match. LCC students can work only part
time, but CDC keeps in contact with all alumni. If you need a full-time graduate
to fill a position in your company, we will distribute your job post to our
alumni. We are also able to give you verbal recommendations and advice about
particular candidates.
Conferences and Seminars
Conferences and seminars are opportunities
to promote your company and services to your potential clients and employees.
In November 2004, the Career Development Center organized Career Days. Local
companies like Excelsitas, ERRA, and “UK International” came to
talk about career planning and development, to get in touch with our students,
and to target potential clients. UAB Excelsitas shared its professional experience
on resume writing. The Consulting agency ERRA gave detailed information on
how students should act during an interview. UK International presented its
internship
and graduate placements services to our students.
