The English minor consists of four courses of 24 credits selected with the guidance of a department member. A subject emphasis provides the following benefits to the student:
Writing - Develops the student's skills for continued use of
written English in
any profession and for future academic work in English.
Literature - Enhances the student's insight into and understanding of the human
condition.
Language - Provides practical knowledge and experience in the fields of teaching,
linguistics and translation.
